HMD Dub X50 Pro launches with ANC and 60-hour battery

HMD Global keeps pushing into budget-friendly audio with its new Dub X50 Pro true wireless earbuds. These earbuds offer features you’d expect in pricier models.

At about €25 ($28), the Dub X50 Pro boasts noise cancellation extended battery life, and up-to-date connectivity. All this comes in a design fit for everyday active use.

This release follows HMD’s recent unveiling of its high-end Amped Buds. However, the Dub X50 Pro aims at a different market—people who want the most bang for their buck without shelling out top dollar.

Active noise cancellation at a budget price

One of the standout features of the HMD Dub X50 Pro is active noise cancellation (ANC), something still uncommon in this ultra-affordable segment.

While HMD hasn’t shared technical details about the ANC system, the earbuds are designed to reduce background noise during music playback, making them more usable in noisy environments such as public transport or busy streets.

For calls, the earbuds also support environmental noise cancellation (ENC). A total of four microphones work together to filter out ambient sounds, helping voices come through more clearly during phone and video calls.

Up to 60 hours of total battery life

Battery life is another area where the Dub X50 Pro aims to stand out. According to HMD Global, the earbuds can deliver up to 15.8 hours of playback on a single charge, with total battery life reaching as much as 60 hours when used with the charging case.

These figures are measured at 60% volume with ANC disabled, but even accounting for real-world usage, the endurance is impressive for earbuds at this price point.

This makes the Dub X50 Pro particularly appealing for users who don’t want to charge their earbuds every day, whether for commuting, workouts, or travel.

Designed for everyday use and workouts

The Dub X50 Pro earbuds are available in silver and blue, with a clean, modern look that avoids flashy styling.

They also carry an IP54 rating, meaning they are protected against dust, sweat, and light rain. This makes them suitable for gym sessions, outdoor runs, and general daily use without worrying about a bit of moisture.

Touch controls are built into the earbuds, allowing users to control playback, manage calls, and activate voice assistants without reaching for their phone.

Bluetooth 5.3 and multipoint support

Connectivity is handled by Bluetooth 5.3, offering improved stability, efficiency, and lower latency compared to older Bluetooth versions.

The earbuds also support Bluetooth Multipoint, allowing users to connect to two devices at the same time—such as a smartphone and a laptop—and switch between them seamlessly.

One expected compromise at this price is audio codec support. HMD has confirmed that the Dub X50 Pro does not include Hi-Fi or high-resolution Bluetooth codecs, focusing instead on reliable performance and battery efficiency.

Price and availability

The HMD Dub X50 Pro will begin rolling out in select markets in January 2026, with a wider global release expected later.

In markets like the Philippines, the earbuds are priced at roughly $28, reinforcing HMD Global’s aggressive value-focused strategy.
