In practical use, anything above 50% volume is already pushing uncomfortable levels. It’s impressive, but also something to be careful with.
Call Quality
Call quality is serviceable at best. Voices sound compressed and slightly robotic, and background noise isn’t filtered particularly well. Wind noise is especially problematic outdoors.
These earbuds are clearly designed for listening first, calling second.
Battery Life
FiiO claims up to 7 hours per charge, with 21 hours total using the case. Real-world testing lands closer to 6 hours, depending on volume and codec.
There’s no wireless charging, which feels like a miss, especially given the size of the charging case. Battery life isn’t bad—but it’s not competitive either.
Final Thoughts
The FiiO FW5 isn’t trying to be everything to everyone—and honestly, I respect that. It doesn’t go head-to-head with feature-packed earbuds from Sony, Samsung, or Soundcore, and it doesn’t need to.
