Haylou S30 vs Anker Soundcore Life Q30: Review
Unboxing and First Impressions
Upon unboxing both headphones, I noticed that the build quality of the Anker Q30 seems slightly better compared to the Haylou S30.
However, a positive point for both is that they offer the option to use the headphones with a cable.
Sound Quality
Both headphones feature 40mm drivers. I found the sound quality of the Haylou S30 to be good, with strong bass and high volume.
The Anker Q30 is compatible with the Soundcore app, offering similar sound customization options. While both headphones provide good audio quality, the Anker Q30’s construction seems to contribute to a slightly better overall sound experience.
Noise Cancellation
The Haylou S30 features active noise cancellation up to 43 dB, which I found to be quite effective at blocking out external noise.
The Anker Q30 also has ANC, with the added benefit of being able to switch between three different ANC modes.
Connectivity
The Haylou S30 has an advantage in terms of Bluetooth connectivity, featuring Bluetooth 5.4, which allows for faster pairing with smartphones.
The Anker Q30 uses Bluetooth 5.0, but it does offer the ability to connect to two devices simultaneously, which is a handy feature.
Microphone
The version of the Haylou S30 that I purchased includes a detachable external microphone, and I found the microphone quality to be good.
The Anker Q30 has two built-in microphones and uses a noise reduction algorithm for better call quality.
Battery Life
The Haylou S30 boasts an impressive battery life. With active noise cancellation (ANC) turned off, you can listen to approximately 80 hours of continuous music, depending on the volume. With ANC enabled, you can still enjoy around 50 hours of music playback.
In comparison, the Anker Q30 offers about 60 hours of continuous music with ANC off and roughly 40 hours with ANC on, depending on the volume. While the Anker Q30’s battery life is still excellent, the Haylou S30 has a slight edge in this category.
Haylou S30 vs Anker Soundcore Life Q30: Final verdict
Both the Haylou S30 and Anker Q30 are great Bluetooth headphones with their own strengths. The Haylou S30 has better battery life and faster Bluetooth connectivity, while the Anker Q30 has slightly better build quality, sound, and the ability to connect to two devices simultaneously.
I hope this comparison has helped you make an informed decision. Let me know in the comments which one you prefer!
