A recent leak hints that Anker is gearing up to broaden its premium wireless earbuds collection with two exciting new models — the Soundcore Liberty 5 Pro and the Soundcore Liberty 5 Pro Max.
These yet-to-be-revealed earbuds are rumored to come with some impressive upgrades, like a dedicated AI chip, a touchscreen charging case, and even a built-in voice recorder on the higher-end model.
These new additions will complement the recently launched Soundcore Liberty 5, further solidifying the company’s commitment to delivering cutting-edge audio features and smart technology.

AI-powered audio processing
According to the leak, both earbuds will be powered by a dedicated compute-in-memory AI chip called Anker Thus. The chip is designed to enable AI-driven audio processing, including a feature described as AI audio upscaling, which aims to improve sound quality by enhancing compressed audio streams in real time.
While the exact implementation is unclear, the addition of a dedicated AI processor suggests that Soundcore may be leaning more heavily into on-device intelligence for sound optimization and adaptive listening.

However, two major additions set it apart.
First, the charging case is said to function as a standalone voice recorder. The leak claims the case will house eight microphones, allowing it to capture audio independently of the earbuds.

If the leaked details hold up, the Liberty 5 Pro will reportedly launch in the United States at $169.99, with Black and White color options.
The Liberty 5 Pro Max, positioned as the more advanced model, is said to carry a $229.99 price tag and will reportedly be offered in Black and Gold.
Both versions are expected to ship with five sizes of ear tips and three sets of ear fins to help users achieve a more secure fit.
