Design & Build Quality

Let’s start with the design — because honestly, that’s what caught my eye first. The SoundPeats H3 are beautiful. They feature a semi-transparent shell that reveals some of the internal components, giving off a modern, tech-inspired aesthetic.

Combined with the gold accents on the outer face, they look strikingly premium — though I’ll admit, this design will divide opinions. You’ll either love it or find it too flashy. Personally, I love it. They look different, confident, and refined.

The fit is equally impressive. Despite being slightly larger than your typical in-ear buds, they sit snugly and comfortably thanks to a very ergonomic shape. Once you find the right ear tip size, they stay in place even during workouts or long commutes.

However, not everything about the build screams perfection. The charging case, for instance, feels a bit underwhelming. The top lid is transparent — a nice touch — but the overall construction feels plasticky, more in line with earbuds around the $60–$70 range rather than $150. It’s not bad, just not as premium as the earbuds themselves.

On the plus side, it features a convenient reset button and a USB-C charging port, though sadly, there’s no wireless charging — something I expected at this price point.

Comfort & Controls

In terms of comfort, SoundPeats nailed it. The earbuds are lightweight despite their size, and I can easily wear them for hours without fatigue. The large touch panels make controlling them easy — play/pause, skip tracks, change modes — everything feels intuitive.

One small disappointment? There’s no wear-detection sensor. That means the music won’t pause automatically when you take them out of your ears. Not a deal-breaker, but it’s a convenience feature I’ve grown used to in this price segment.

Still, the controls are fully customizable through the SoundPeats Audio app, which is a nice touch. You can reassign gestures, disable touch input, or even fine-tune how the buds respond.

Connectivity

Now here’s where the SoundPeats H3 truly impressed me. These earbuds pack Bluetooth 5.4 along with the Qualcomm QCC3091 processor, which means they support Snapdragon Sound and the aptX Adaptive codec.

If your smartphone supports this technology, the difference is instantly noticeable. The audio connection feels more stable, latency is minimal, and the soundstage opens up beautifully.

For gaming, there’s even a dedicated low-latency mode that works surprisingly well — I tested it in Call of Duty Mobile, and I was honestly amazed at how tight the response felt.

Multipoint connectivity is also here, letting you pair with two devices at once (like your laptop and phone), and switching between them is seamless. During my testing, I never experienced a single dropout or connection hiccup — a rare feat even for higher-end models.

If there’s one thing I didn’t love, it’s the microphone quality. Indoors, your voice sounds okay — clear enough for casual calls, but with a slightly “boxed” tone. Don’t get me wrong — they’re fine for short calls or quick voice notes, but if you’re someone who takes frequent work calls on the go, there are better options out there.

Now let’s talk about one of the biggest surprises — Active Noise Cancellation. The SoundPeats H3 claim to cancel up to 55 dB of ambient sound, which is an impressive number for earbuds in this range. And you know what? They actually deliver.

Whether I was on a noisy train or in a crowded café, these earbuds managed to isolate me from the outside world remarkably well. Yes, there’s a slight pressure effect (as with most strong ANC models), but it’s not uncomfortable.

Through the app, you can tweak the ANC levels or switch to Transparency Mode, which lets in just enough outside sound to stay aware of your surroundings.

For $150 earbuds, this ANC performance is seriously competitive — easily on par with models from much pricier brands.

Sound Quality

And finally, the most important part — sound. This is where I fell in love with the SoundPeats H3.

They use a triple-driver setup — one 12mm dynamic driver paired with two balanced armature drivers. This combination delivers a sound that feels rich, detailed, and full of character.

The bass hits deep and tight — not boomy, just satisfying. Mids are beautifully balanced, especially for vocals. Female voices come through crisp and natural, and the treble adds sparkle without sounding harsh.

I’ve listened to everything from acoustic tracks to electronic dance music on these, and they handled every genre with confidence. The soundstage feels open, and instrument separation is impressive for wireless earbuds in this price class.

One thing that elevates the experience even more is SoundPeats’ custom hearing calibration inside the app. It tailors the EQ to your personal hearing profile, and honestly, it works far better than I expected. After running it, the sound became noticeably more balanced and immersive.

Battery Life

Battery life on the SoundPeats H3 is about six hours per charge with ANC on, and the case adds around four additional recharges. It’s not groundbreaking, but it’s perfectly fine for daily use. For perspective, that’s enough to get you through a long flight or an intense gym session without worrying about running out of juice.

Charging happens via USB-C and, thankfully, it supports fast charging — a quick 10-minute top-up gives you around an hour of playback. Still, for €150, I really wish they had added wireless charging.

Worth Every Bucks (Almost)

So, after a month of daily use, what’s my verdict?

The SoundPeats H3 are easily among my favorite earbuds of 2025 so far. They look stunning, sound absolutely fantastic, and come packed with premium features like Snapdragon Sound, low-latency gaming mode, and surprisingly powerful ANC.

Are they perfect? No. The microphone quality could be better, the case feels cheaper than it should, and I miss having wireless charging. But these are small trade-offs in an otherwise stellar package.

At around $150 (and often cheaper with discounts), the H3 offers excellent value for money. If you care about design and sound quality above all else, these are a must-listen.

I didn’t expect to like them this much — but I’m really, genuinely surprised.
