OnePlus Nord Buds 4 Pro Teased With 55dB ANC Ahead of Launch

OnePlus is getting ready to unveil a new set of wireless earbuds later this month, and they’ve already started dropping hints about what we can expect.

The OnePlus Nord Buds 4 Pro are set to launch on March 19, featuring a fresh design, enhanced active noise cancellation, and better audio quality compared to the last generation.

The initial details have surfaced from a promotional page found on **Amazon India, where OnePlus is slowly revealing features ahead of the official announcement.

A subtle but noticeable design refresh

It has been nearly two years since the launch of the OnePlus Nord Buds 3 Pro, and the successor appears to introduce a few design tweaks rather than a complete overhaul.

The earbuds still use an in-ear design, but the stems now have a more uniform thickness instead of the tapered look seen on the previous model.

OnePlus has also extended the touch control groove, which now runs along a larger portion of the stem.

The change may sound small, but it could make gesture controls easier to find and use during daily listening.

The charging case has also been redesigned. The oval case used previously has been replaced with a rounded square, or “squircle,” design.

It still flips open from the top and stores the earbuds vertically, but the new shape gives it a slightly more modern look. Based on the promotional images, the earbuds will launch in black and white color options.

Upgraded drivers and stronger noise cancellation

Inside, the OnePlus Nord Buds 4 Pro will feature 12mm titanium-coated drivers, which OnePlus says are designed to deliver clearer audio and improved durability.

Noise cancellation is also getting a boost. The new earbuds are rated for up to 55dB of active noise cancellation, an increase over the 49dB ANC offered by the previous model.

In practical terms, that should translate to better isolation in noisy places like trains, offices, or busy streets.

Hi-Res audio support and new codecs

Another notable change is the addition of Hi-Res Audio Wireless support along with the LHDC codec. That’s a welcome upgrade, as the Nord Buds 3 Pro only supported the more basic AAC and SBC codecs.

For users with compatible phones, LHDC can deliver higher-quality wireless audio with less compression, which should help preserve more detail in music playback.

Spatial audio and improved call quality

OnePlus is also adding 3D Spatial Audio, along with a Game Sound Spatial Audio mode aimed at gamers who want more immersive sound positioning.

Calls should benefit as well. The earbuds will feature six microphones in total, with AI-powered noise reduction designed to filter out background sounds and keep voices clear during conversations.

More details coming at launch

Despite the early teaser, several important details remain under wraps, including battery life, charging speeds, and pricing.

OnePlus may reveal additional information in the days leading up to launch, but the full specifications of the OnePlus Nord Buds 4 Pro will likely be confirmed when the earbuds officially debut on March 19.

If the promised upgrades deliver in real-world use, the new model could strengthen OnePlus’ position in the competitive mid-range earbuds market—especially for buyers looking for stronger noise cancellation and higher-quality wireless audio without paying flagship prices.
