Xiaomi has officially brought its latest open-ear earbuds — the OpenWear Stereo Pro — to international markets, after their initial debut in China earlier this summer.
Priced at €149.99 in Europe, the new model aims to push the boundaries of open-ear audio with pro-grade sound, comfort upgrades, and even built-in recording tools.
Multi-Driver Setup for “Pro” Sound
Unlike most open-ear designs that sacrifice fidelity for comfort, the OpenWear Stereo Pro comes equipped with a sophisticated multi-driver arrangement.
Xiaomi has packed in a large 18x13mm dynamic driver for bass, dual balanced armatures for detail, and a PZT tweeter to handle crisp treble.
Together with Hi-Res Audio Wireless certification and LDAC codec support, the earbuds promise clarity and depth well beyond typical lifestyle buds.
Adding to that is Dimensional Audio, Xiaomi’s spatial sound solution that tracks head movement to create a 3D listening experience.
For those worried about sound leakage — a common drawback of open-ear designs — Xiaomi has built in a dedicated driver that emits reverse-phase waves to reduce audio bleed.
The company claims up to 60% less leakage compared to its predecessor, keeping playlists more discreet in public spaces.
Comfort Takes Center Stage
Comfort is another area where Xiaomi has put in noticeable effort. Each bud weighs just 9.7 grams and features a three-point support system with memory titanium wire.
This ensures stability without pressing against sensitive parts of the ear, making the buds suitable for long listening sessions. The design has even passed TÜV SÜD certification for high wearing comfort.

The case, wrapped in vegan leather and finished in understated shades like Graphite Black, Titan Gray, and Sand Gold, keeps things stylish while staying compact.
Battery Life and Charging
On the endurance front, the Stereo Pro can run for up to 8.5 hours per charge, with the case extending total playback to 45 hours.
A quick 10-minute top-up provides two extra hours of listening, which will be handy for commuters or travelers.
Built-in Recording for Creators
Perhaps the most unexpected feature is on-device recording. Users can start and stop audio recordings directly from the earbuds or the case.
While Xiaomi stresses that the function must be used within local laws, it could prove invaluable for journalists, podcasters, and business professionals who need to capture notes on the fly.
Connectivity and Controls
The OpenWear Stereo Pro runs on Bluetooth 5.4, offering stable connections and customizable touch gestures. Users can tweak EQ settings, monitor battery levels, and configure gestures via the Xiaomi Earbuds app.
Options include playback controls, activating a voice assistant, or triggering the recording mode with a press-and-hold gesture.
Price and Availability
The Xiaomi OpenWear Stereo Pro are now available globally through Xiaomi’s official channels at €149.99 in the EU. Positioned as a versatile option for commuters, office users, and content creators, they blend comfort-first design with pro-level audio features — a combination that could make them one of the most compelling open-ear earbuds on the market right now.
