When I tested the Earfun Air Pro 4, I wasn’t expecting them to outperform some of the premium earbuds I’ve used.
However, they recently launched the Air Pro 4+, which I have just tested—and it honestly feels like Earfun has tried to squeeze in almost every premium feature once again, all at a budget-friendly price.
From upgraded ANC to more refined tuning and better comfort, the Air Pro 4+ comes across as an attempt to push the limits of what mid-range earbuds can offer.
And the surprising part? They actually pulled it off.
Let’s break down how the Air Pro 4 Plus performs in real-world use.

Design & Build
The first thing I noticed when unboxing the Air 4 Pro+ was the curved, pebble-like case. It’s compact enough to slip into any pocket without creating an obvious bulge, and the rounded corners give it a comfortable, soft feel.
But here’s the catch:
The case scratches easily, and it picks up fingerprints like crazy. If you care about keeping things pristine, you might want to treat this one gently or slap on a protective sleeve.

The earbuds themselves are refreshingly minimal—no loud branding, no awkward angles. They’re slightly larger than the previous Air Pro 4 due to the added balanced armature driver, but they still sit comfortably. I wore them for 5–6 hour stretches without any ear fatigue.
Features & Tech
Here’s where Earfun clearly decided to flex.
Bluetooth 6.0
Most budget earbuds top out at Bluetooth 5.2 or 5.3. Earfun jumped to Bluetooth 6.0, bringing better stability, lower latency, and improved power efficiency.
High-Res Codec Support
They didn’t stop there. The Air Pro+ support:
- LDAC
- AEX Adaptive
- AEX Lossless
- LE Audio
- Snapdragon Sound
- AraCast (future-proofing for real)
Finding this level of codec compatibility under $100 is almost unheard of.
Dual-Driver Setup
The star of the show is the 10mm dynamic driver + custom Feather Balanced Armature driver. Earfun claims it’s the smallest BA driver they’ve produced—and after listening, I believe them.
App Experience & Controls
Everything is controlled via touch gestures, and the app gives full customization.

You can:
- Reassign single/double/triple taps
- Change long-press functions
- Turn touch controls off entirely
- Switch ANC modes
- Adjust EQ manually or use presets
- Update firmware

The app is simple, intuitive, and doesn’t shove unnecessary features in your face.
ANC Performance
Adaptive ANC adjusts based on your environment, but you can manually control it too. There are four levels plus a fine-tuning slider.
What impressed me most:
- Low-frequency noise reduction is excellent
- Voice suppression is noticeably better than the Air Pro 4
- Wind mode actually works
- Higher-frequency sounds like chatter and car horns are more muted
No, it’s not Bose or Sony level—but it’s way better than most earbuds under $100.
Comfort & Stability
During workouts—walking, jogging, jump rope sessions—they held up surprisingly well. The tiny interior ridges inside the earbuds help them “grip” the ear a bit better.
Even during sweatier sessions, they stayed put with only occasional readjustment.

Plus, the IP55 rating makes them safe for rain, dust, and intense workouts.
Sound Quality
Here’s the part that surprised me the most.
The Air 4 Pro+ aren’t trying to be typical budget bass-boosted earbuds. They sound refined, open, and detailed—more like something you’d expect from a mid-range wired IEM.
Let’s break it down:
Treble
Crisp, detailed, airy.
The BA driver introduces a subtle metallic shimmer on hi-hats and cymbals (in a good way). They feel razor-precise without turning harsh.
Mids
Forward, clean, and present.
Vocals feel richer compared to the Air Pro 4, with improved fullness thanks to the new tuning.
Bass
Here’s where opinions will vary.
The bass is tight and accurate, not boomy. It has punch, but won’t satisfy hardcore bass-heads who want skull-shaking rumble. However, for balanced listening—hip-hop, R&B, acoustic, EDM—the bass feels controlled and fast.
A quick EQ tweak in the app gave me the sweet spot I wanted: more low-end punch without losing the clarity.
Soundstage
This is the real upgrade.
The improved acoustic chamber creates an open, airy stage with noticeably better separation. Instruments sit comfortably in their own space rather than blending together.
Overall
Simply put:
These are Earfun’s best-sounding earbuds yet.
Call Quality & Transparency
Call quality is solid in quiet spaces. Outdoors, the algorithm tries hard to cancel noise, but occasionally distorts the voice—still acceptable for the price.

Transparency mode is decent, but not natural. My voice sounded slightly muffled when monitoring myself.
Multipoint & Connectivity
Multipoint works reliably—even with LDAC, which is rare.
Switching isn’t as seamless as Apple’s ecosystem, but it’s stable and straightforward.
No random drops, no handshake delays, no glitches.
Battery Life
Earfun claims up to 12 hours on a single charge and 54 hours total with the case. Real-world usage with ANC and LDAC enabled will drop that number, of course, but even then, I was regularly hitting 8–9 hours, which is impressive.
Oh, and the fast charging?
10 minutes = 3 hours of playback.
That is some of the best fast-charge performance in the category.
Plus, the case supports Qi wireless charging, which is a luxury you don’t always see at this price.
Final Thoughts
After testing dozens of earbuds this year—from OnePlus to Soundcore to Nothing—there’s no doubt that competition is fierce in the $50–$100 range.
And yet… the Earfun Air 4 Pro+ still stands out.
If you prioritize:
- Excellent sound quality
- High-res audio support
- Feature-packed software
- Long battery life
- Wireless charging
- Strong ANC for the price
…then this is one of the easiest recommendations I can make.
